Get yourself clued up on all the lingo used throughout the website.

Accumulator:

Multiple selections within the same bet. All selections must be correct to win.

Banker:

A dead cert. A selection that is destined to win. Surely!

Bet:

This is what it’s all about. Backing the outcome of an event and making money if it comes in.

Bookie/Bookmaker:

The guys who set the odds, take the bets and pay out the winnings.

Cautious:

We categorise bets and tipsters based on their risk. Cautious is the term we use for a shrewd bet, normally backing the favourite. Anything up to and including 5/1.

Correct Score:

Guessing the correct final score of the match.

Doubles:

An accumulator which involves two selections. Both must be successful for the bet to win.

First Goalscorer:

A bet placed on a player to score the first goal in a game.

First half bet:

A bet placed solely on the first half of a game.

Fold:

A fold represents the number of selections in an accumulator, i.e a Four-Fold Accumulator consists of 1 bet involving 4 selections in different events. All must be successful to get a return.

Form:

Form rates how a team is currently performing.

Half time result:

A bet that involves the Punter correctly predicting the result of a match at half time.

Markets:

These are the things that you are able to bet on.

Match Betting:

The most popular betting market. Predicting the outcome of the match - which team will win or whether it will be a draw.

Monkey:

Slang for £500.

Multiples:

Another term for Accumulators. Multiple bets involve more than one selection.

Odds:

The returns that a bookmaker offers for a selection to win.

Outrights:

Longer term bets that run over the course of a season or competition. Predicting things like top scorers, league winners, teams to be relegated etc.

Pony:

Slang for £25.

Punter:

The individual who puts on a bet.

Tip:

A prediction on a certain outcome of an event.

Tipster:

Anybody who has left a tip on the website.

Risky:

The second of our three risk categories. Risky describes bets and tipsters who are a little more adventurous. Anything between 5/1 and 25/1.

YOLO:

YOLO is the third and final risk category. Used to describe bets and tipsters which back the most unlikely outcomes in the hope of winning the biggest re-wards. 25/1+.
